This Privacy Policy explains how KR Socio Butterfly Media Private Limited ("The Socio Butterfly", "TSB", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit thesociobutterfly.com and its subdomains, contact us, book a call, or work with us as a client.

1. What we collect
- Details you give us: name, company name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, city, website, role, business details such as turnover band and marketing budget, and anything you write in a form, chat or email.
- Calculator and tool inputs: numbers you enter in our free tools (for example ad spend, leads, site visits, sales). We use them to produce your result and report.
- Booking details: when you book a call through Calendly, the name, email and answers you enter there.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, time on page, the link or ad that brought you, collected through cookies and similar tools (see section 6).
- Client account data: when you hire us, access you grant to your ad accounts, social media pages, analytics and websites, and the data inside them that we need to do the work.
- Data from Meta and LinkedIn apps: if you connect your Facebook Page, Instagram account or LinkedIn Page to our app, we receive access tokens and page details (page name and ID, posts, comments, and page and post insights) that the platform allows for the permissions you approve. We do not receive your password.
2. Why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry, book and hold calls, and send what you asked for (for example your calculator report).
- To decide whether we are a good fit and prepare for your call.
- To deliver services you hire us for: planning, publishing and reporting on content and campaigns, and managing your ad accounts.
- To publish posts you have approved to your pages, and to report on their performance, when you connect a Meta or LinkedIn account.
- To send you updates and useful material about our services, only where you have agreed. You can opt out at any time.
- To measure and improve our website and ads.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting duties.
3. Legal basis and consent
We process your personal data with your consent, which you give when you submit a form, use a tool, book a call, message us or connect an account, and for legitimate uses allowed under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, such as meeting legal duties. You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to marketing@thesociobutterfly.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing done before it.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run our business, under their own privacy and security terms:
- Google Workspace and Google Sheets (email and lead records)
- Google Analytics (website measurement)
- Calendly (call booking)
- Lovable and its hosting and database providers (website and form storage)
- Meta (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp) and LinkedIn (advertising, measurement, page publishing)
- Payment gateway, when we accept online payments (Razorpay)
- Our professional advisers (CA, lawyers) where needed
- Government or law enforcement bodies, only when the law requires it
Some of these providers store data outside India. We use reputable providers with appropriate safeguards.
5. How long we keep it
- Enquiries and leads that do not become clients: up to 24 months from last contact, then deleted.
- Client records: for the length of the engagement and as long as tax and company law require after it.
- Meta and LinkedIn access tokens: until you disconnect, the token expires, or the engagement ends, whichever is first. Page data we fetched for reports is deleted within 30 days of disconnection unless it is part of a report already delivered to you.
6. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar tools, including the Meta Pixel and website analytics, to understand visits, measure our ads and show relevant ads on other platforms. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and control ad preferences in your Meta and Google account settings. Blocking cookies may affect how some parts of the site work.
7. Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you can:
- ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it
- ask us to correct, complete or update it
- ask us to erase it, where we no longer need it to meet a legal duty
- withdraw consent
- nominate another person to exercise your rights if you die or become unable to
- raise a grievance with us, and if you are not satisfied, complain to the Data Protection Board of India
Write to marketing@thesociobutterfly.com. We will confirm receipt within 7 working days and respond within 30 days.

9. Security
We use access controls, encrypted connections, two-step login on our accounts, and limited staff access. No method of storage or transfer is fully secure, but we work to protect your data and will tell you and the authorities about a breach where the law requires.
10. Children
Our website and services are for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has shared data with us, write to us and we will delete it.
11. Links to other sites
Our site may link to other websites. Their privacy practices are their own.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. Significant changes will be shown on this page.
